Here today for your consideration we have this beautiful Art Deco solid 800-grade silver sixteen-piece knife and fork set, made in Germany, c-1925. The set includes eight knives and eight forks, each having matching bundled-straw design to front and reverse, being of very good quality and gauge throughout. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note (some scratching to some knife blades evident). One of the stainless steel knife blades is a replacement, with another reattached with the handle in reverse. Each piece features a well executed and matching monogram, with the hallmarks about 80% overall. A very fine and useful set for the collection.

The knives and forks measure 21.5cm and 18cm long respectively, with the set weighing in at an impressive 823gms unpacked. The forks alone weigh in at 332gms.

Sterling silver offered at William Sharpe Antiques is original and authentic, showing signs of use over its life. Unless expressly stated above, all pieces are free from major structural damage. However, normal signs of use including shallow depressions, fine scratches, and minor pattern and hallmark wear should be expected. All pieces (unless expressly stated above) have undertaken a very light polish with respect to the original patina, and a decision for further polishing will be left to the new custodian.
