Fabulous Handmade WW2 L/CPL Rawlings Wooden case R.M.P MELF Malta.

This case has been a treasure trove filled with personal paraphernalia from the family of this case owner. They were a local family from Exeter who had many members of the family within the services during both world wars and from all branches of the military.

This particular item belonged to Lance Corporal C Rawlings who served within the Royal Military Police and served time at the Fort in Malta during WW2. It is very well constructed out of pine including the handle, it has a great patina and hand painted details to the front (2ftW x 16”H x 7.5”D). I’ve left the Exeter Express & Echo newspaper in the case (d.1948) to give it some patronage.
