In Chinese mythology, Guanyin is the goddess of mercy and considered to be the physical embodiment of compassion. She is an all-seeing, all-hearing being who is called upon by worshipers in times of uncertainty, despair, and fear.

The item is in good condition with no significant damage (chips/cracks) which I could find OTHER than the odd small possible nibble to the lotus base (as pictured. Unsure if this is a small chip as it could just be rough and sharp from where it has been hand carved. Please see the photos for a more detailed view of the item to judge for yourself its condition. There may be the odd bump/manufacturing fault as is common in vintage/antique items. I have tried to take photos from every angle so this should help you form a decision as to its condition.
