Being offered is a brand new large (NOW OUT OF PRINT) Geological map “Stanthorpe Special” in colour reprinted in 1983.


The size of the (folded) map is:   85 cm x 60 cm     (34” x 24”)


The map area covered is from Warwick in the north, Queensland – New South Wales border in the south, Inglewood in the west,   Cunningham’s Gap (Q’ld) and Drake (NSW) in the east.


A part of the map in shown in the two (2) photographs that accompanies this listing.


The map also includes a photocopy of an additional map of Thanes Creek and Pratten west of Warwick showing the gold deposits of the area.


The map shows the rock types and prospects, as well as mines worked and mines not worked.


Minerals found in this area include: Gold, Arsenic, Copper, Graphite, Lead, Manganese, Molybdenite, Silver, Wolfram Tin &  Zinc.   Gemstones such as: several Quartz varieties including smoky quartz as well as topaz and occasionally the odd diamond.


Rocks quarried in this area include: Limestone, Marble & Coal.
