Brief background of the artifacts
The dawn of mankind originated in Africa approximately 2.5 million years ago where early humans developed stone based technology which has became to what is known today as the Stone Age. In the past, the Sahara used to be a damp land consisting of rich flora and fauna, however around 3000 BC a climate change slowly transformed the Sahara into the desert today.
These arrowheads/blades were found in the Sahara desert Africa belonging to the Stone Age Neolithic period, approximately 3,000 to 7,000 years old (some even older belonging to the Mesolithic period). Hand made through specialized techniques of rock breaking by early humans.
Today we should learn to appreciate and admire the incredible workmanship which went into each piece as they represent the hard work and pride of our distant ancestors’ legacy!
