The LS26 preamp circuit is a replica of the modern classic vacuum tube preamp CAT SL-1 Signature.

    The appeal of the CAT SL-1 is that it retains the beautiful and rich sound of a vacuum tube, while providing the control and low frequency that is typical of a crystal machine. The leading American audio magazine, STEREOHILE, selected the CAT SL-1 as the annual equipment of the year in 1993. It is conceivable how powerful it is.

   CAT can be said to be a standard tuning secret technique. Three different types of vacuum tubes are used in the entire circuit, and a total of 4 double triodes are used. The first stage utilizes the 12AU7, whichever has its high bandwidth and sweet tone. The second stage is even more brilliant. The high-amplification tube 12AX7 is used as SRPP, which creates an incomparably wide bandwidth and invincible dynamics of the entire circuit. Finally, 6DJ8(6922) is used as the output to obtain extremely low output impedance and driving force, which can be fully matched with various post-stages, and there is no problem with matching.
