Rare set of ten professionally framed and matted antique fruit pochoir (or "theorem," as they called them in the U.S.) stencil on paper, c. 1870s to 1890s.  A form of Folk Art in the days they were made. They were most likely taken from a traveling nurseryman/salesman’s sample book, selling to farmers, depicting a large photo of the fruit in bright colors, with the name and brief description.  The hand done Stencils are in matching burlwood frames measuring 13 ¾” x 10 ½”.  Set is in Excellent condition, little to no wear to frames, prints do have some minimal foxing and blemishes from age. A wonderful display set!
