We are offering for sale an original legal document.  This legal document is filled out and signed, and dated, 20 September, 1915.  

This document is charging Oumatore Guiseppe with Petit Larceny.  The Warrant is issued by Justice of the Peace, J. M. Swarthout, for the State of New York.  County of Allegany, the Town of Bolivar.  Olean, NY, police officer D Keating made the arrest and signed this warrant in two places.  John McDermott has signed the document indicating the other signatures are valid.  

This was a standard legal document of the time, published by Williamson Law Book Co., Publishers, Rochester, N.Y.

The Life Summary of Jesse Merritt Swarthout

When Jesse Merritt Swarthout was born on 3 August 1877, in the Town of Bolivar, Allegany County, New York, United States, his father, James Aaron Swarthout, was 37 and his mother, Abigail Annette Merritt, was 29. He married Margaret Ellen Lardin on 3 September 1926, in Allegany, New York, United States. They were the parents of at least 1 son. He registered for military service in 1898. JM Swarthout was a veteran of the Spanish American War.  He died on 11 September 1962, at the age of 85, and was buried in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Bolivar, Allegany County, New York.
