This lot of TEN raw, ungraded DC comic books represents my picks for the best Wonder Woman (WW) depictions on comic book covers which meet my personal criteria. This is my list, so I’m calling it Chris Smith’s Top Ten (!):

10 WW on the floor surrounded by guys who’ve set the mood by lighting candles.

9 WW looking up at you and impressing you with her good grip.

8 WW in bondage chains but still attacking a guy while that dirty Batman watches.

7 WW ready for action w/ lasso, pursed lips, and -- gold knee pads.

6 WW lower half only, from behind, in panties style outfit and with high heel boots.

5 WW in catfight wearing garter belt and up against some wild redhead.

4 WW on her knees in chains bondage and some wacko has his tongue out.

3 WW w/ ponytail lunging forward and wearing star spangled panties outfit.

2 WW held in lasso bondage by interracial gay female couple (they really are).

1 WW with top of the head ponytail, obviously the best kind.

I put this little collection together thinking that I might keep it as a personal investment or I might offer it for sale. I’ve decided that I’ll only sell the grouping if I can get an “I don’t want to sell it price” for it, which is 695.

These are the best condition copies of the specific issues that I could find for sale on the market. You can probably replicate what I did, over time. It took me a lot of time. I was going to do a Top 10 Supergirl, too, but I can’t find covers that ‘wow’ me.

Although I’ve never had it done, everybody knows that this hobby is largely about CGC slabbing now. People want to protect and preserve their collectibles as well as be able to display them. What kind of display would you want?

In superhero-land, you either want to gaze at men in tights or at a pretty girl’s legs. Oddly enough, the one modern Wonder Woman issue that consistently sells for the most money on eBay does not depict the lady’s legs. So, included in this lot is a comic w/ a cover that depicts just her lower half.

On a final note, it doesn’t take much to be a conformist. What the masses do is what’s common. It’s true that everything, including rare things, seem pretty common on eBay. But, that doesn’t mean you can’t buy something and still be unique at the same time!
