AN ABSOLUTELY STUNNING AND VERY RARE VICTORIAN SHELL DOUBLE CAMEO BROOCH DEPICTING 2 ROMAN WARRIORS OR SOLDIERS IN ARMOUR AND HELMET - THE SHELL CARVING IS ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICENT WITH STUNNING DETAILS. THE CAMEO IS SET IN 10 KARAT YELLOW GOLD. A VERY RARE IMAGE. THE CAMEO DATES TO CIRCA 1850-1900. FROM A HIGH QUALITY COLLECTION OF ANTIQUE CAMEOS THAT WE ARE CURRENTLY SELLING.

This cameo is rare and wonderful. Very compelling imagery and extremely unusual. A museum quality jewel. The setting is 10K gold.

The cameo brooch is 1.5 inches (37mm) by 1 1/8 inches. The pin stem is hallmarked 10K. The brooch weighs 4.3 grams.
