LARGE FOLDING KUKRI by CITADEL FORGE, hand-made in Cambodia

This is the original model of folding kukri from 2015, no longer produced and noticeably beefier and heavier than the current model. The overall length of opened knife is 9-7/8”. I purchased this knife NEW in 2015 for personal collection, never used or resharpened. This is a hand-made, hand-forged knife which make each piece unique.

Detailed description:

BLADE is made of N690Co high cobalt Steel, 4.5” in length, with 4” cutting edge and unusually thick stock of 4mm (0.157”). This beefy heavy blade just too heavy for single-handed opening. The forge-blackened flats with citadel stamp beautifully contrast with mirror-polished saber grind and – NOTE – VERY rare proper “zero-grind” edge without any secondary bevel! This is as real Kukri as possible for a folder!

HANDLE is 5.5” long and 7/8” thick, with crowned polished steel liners for supreme hand comfort, overclad with beautifully contoured ergonomic scales of polished cow horn. Full-length polished steel back-spacer with hand-carved floral motif (yes, not file-decorated but properly hand-carved like a shotgun lock!). The knife is too large and too heavy for a pocket clip, so none is provided, but a lanyard hole is provided with a factory-braided leather lanyard.

ACTION is smooth, but two-handed operation is required due to sheer size of the blade: the blade can be securely grasped by side flats. Very solid “early” lock-up.

The knife comes in the citadel-branded zippered pouch with two belt loops for horizontal belt carry. This is a large, special-looking, solid tank of a knife with lots of performance. This knife IS NOT for small-handed or weak-hearted.
