Available is a lovely bowl made in Sweden by Orrefors designed by contemporary designer Martti Rytkönen. The bowl is covered with charming happy smiling faces in a cartoon style. It measures 7 1/2" in diameter and is about 3" tall. Clearly etched Orrefors on the base. 

About the designer: Martti Rytkönen grew up in North Karelia, Finland. He studied at the University of Arts, Crafts & Design (Konstfack) in Stockholm with a focus on glass and ceramics. Rytkönen came to Orrefors as an Orrefors scholarship recipient in 1994, and then continued working for the brand. He is particularly known for his graphic effects and the designs he creates by cutting, blasting and engraving. His glass collections always reflect the true spirit of Orrefors – even when he experiments with shape and glassmaking techniques. He is fascinated by the possibilities of glass and likes to form the clear crystal into objects with a narrative. In his various designs, Martti shows us how the material can be soft and light; but at the same time, heavy, strong and hard.
