Moriage Gilt Cobalt Chocolate Set NIPPON Japan Chocolate Pot & 3 Cups

Absolutely gorgeous set! Mismatched but with the same style & care, so really a great match, when it comes down to it.

I prefer it, even. Different things to love about the pot than the (matched) trio of cups.  All 100% beautiful!

I checked, & the pot holds exactly three of these cups worth of liquid. It's the perfect size for this trio of cups

As I have shown in the photos, there's some hairline crack and get the base of one of the cups. It looks like it's been there a while. And has been used considerably since. That is to say.. they seem to be quite well made. I'd say definitely antique. The chocolate pot and the cups would have been made around the same time frame, my guess would be turn of the 20th century.

The rest of the set is near perfect. Very well made, & well preserved for their age!
