This unit is estimated to be from the 1940's.
Claims to be chromium plated.
Obviously this was a custom piece as it has the initials ELM on the front.  If these are your initials, then this is a must have for you.  Anyway...

When closed, it measures 3 x 4 x 5/8
Inside is in excellent condition
Closing/opening mechanism is in excellent condition.

The lighter button works and flips up the wick cover, but when it goes back down, you have to manually push it into place.  My opinion is that this was never used as a lighter.  The wick looks fresh.  It is possible that if filled with butane, it may work.  I do not know the condition of the flint.

A slight small dent on the back, and general wear from handling and storage.
Overall a very solid piece.  This seems like an easy restore for those that are interested.
