16"' Line Kosmos Burner Glass Oil Lamp Chimney/Funnel 58mm 2 1/4" With Flaws

Saxony made (Germany). The makers trademark is a hand with a G and monogram reads TR&S (I have one chimney with the retailers name T.R. TROTTER & SONS from Cardiff). I have one chimney with this mark with the makers name  GISUN. Some chimneys are also marked double annealed. I have a number of these chimneys, if you need more please let me know. I do have another listing with the same chimneys without flaws.

Price listed is per chimney. These chimneys have been in storage for sometime, some have been wrapped in newspaper from 1936.

Please Note: This type of chimney is for use on a Kosmos burner, trying to use it on other types of burner may result in the glass cracking.

Oil Lamp Chimneys are made from glass, glass can be an extremely fickle material that expands when heated. The faster it is heated the quicker it expands, if it is heated too quickly the expansion will not be even and will cause a crack or in extreme circumstances it can disintegrate. Older chimneys may be less resilient than modern ones so before using this chimney please ensure you know how to light oil lamps correctly.

Condition: I have a number of these vintage chimneys, the ones in this listing will have small flaws such as small or shallow chips to the rim, more significant scratches to the sides, uneven top rims. There may also be typical small nibbles around the fitter that will not be seen in use and other typical manufacturing irregularities. They may have slightly different size logos. Photos show examples of this chimney but may not be the exact one sent.

Size: approx 17.8cm (7") high although there may be a mm or 2 variation either way, 58mm fitter external (2 1/4"). There may be a very slight variation between chimneys as these will be hand made. 75-100grams.

Please feel free to ask any questions. I will try to answer questions as soon as possible, but this will normally be in the evening. There are times where I may not be able to reply within 24 hours but I will reply well before the listing ends.

I do try to recycle boxes and other materials wherever possible and will sometimes use newspaper for padding out, if it does not have any impact on the cost of postage.
