Description

A New Yorker's Idea of the United States of America, a satirical wall map created by Daniel K. Wallingford for the publisher, Columbia University Bookstore, New York. This is the third edition, indicating the 1939 New York Worlds Fair. It is mounted beneath glass and a mat, in a well-selected period frame. It measures 11 3/4" by 16", slightly larger than the first two editions. The frame measures 15 1/4" by 19 1/4. It was lithographed on heavy stock, and is in good condition, with some wrinkling and a tight, almost un-noticeable tear, center right. The glass could use a cleaning.
