Offered for sale is a fun ceramic bank that is called "Seamen's Bank for Savings".  It was manufactured by McCoy Pottery sometime after World War II (I believe).  I bought one many years ago for my father as he was in the Navy.  Recently, I found another one.  The bank is white in color and is ceramic.  The sailor carries a knapsack on his back and the knapsack has a slot for the coins.  The two legs of the sailor are extra wide given the bell-bottom-style pants that he is wearing.  The shoes and the hair are painted black.  There is a "C" inside of a circle, the copyright mark and the initials "SBS" or Seamen's Bank for Savings.  There was probably a rubber stopper on the bottom to hold the coins in but that is no longer there.  Overall, there is an Art Deco look to this sailor given the various shapes on the piece.  The bank stands 5 1/2 inches tall and is about 5 1/4 inches wide.  It is in very good shape with no chips, no cracks, and no damage.  As previously stated, there is no rubber stopper on the bottom.  Please see all of the photos, check my feedback, and ask any questions before making a purchase.  You will be pleased with this bank.
