The National Geographic Automatic 90/1250 Refractor Maksutov-Cassegrain is a mains or battery powered GoTo telescope that can easily find celestial objects at the push of a button. The moon's numerous craters, Jupiter's cloud belts, and Saturn's rings are just a few of the objects that you can see with this telescope.

This telescope's hand control computer addresses the main issue for beginners: lining up the telescope with the night sky and locating celestial objects in the vast solar system. This GoTo refractor telescope's built-in computer-controlled mechanism can find up to 272,000 different objects in the night sky and is intended to provide magnifications between 50x and 100x. Once everything is set up, all you need to do is punch the target item into the Go-To hand control, and the telescope will automatically start searching for it. The big 90mm objective lens produces images with very little distortion that are bright and clear.

A sturdy alt-azimuth mount on the tripod makes assembly simple (supplied). To make the process even simpler, a compass, and spirit level are included. The 90/1250 is so small and compact that it can be moved and set up almost anywhere with ease. Additionally, included is a specialised computer programme that, when run on a laptop or PC, displays the stars in stunning 3D and enables the user to instantly recognise up to one million objects of interest.

With two separate eyepieces included, the user can select magnification settings ranging from 50x to 100x, and the moon filter (provided) eases eye strain when observing moonlight and other bright objects in the night sky.
