Photograph Notes: Seen from the Paddock, at a time when I was a regular visitor. The all-standing Kop is in full voice at half time on 16th March 1974. The visitors were Leeds United, then top of the table with Liverpool second. A crowd of 56,000 saw Liverpool win 1-0 (Heighway 82) in a tense battle of two great teams. Teams: Liverpool - Clemence, Smith, Lindsay, Thompson, Cormack, Hughes, Keegan, Hall, Heighway, Toshack, Callaghan; Leeds - Harvey, Reaney, Cherry, Bremner, McQueen, Hunter, Clarke, Jordan, Yorath, Madeley. Leeds went on to win the league and Liverpool won the cup (Keegan scoring two against Newcastle in the final).
