This auction is for an impeccable early hand painted silk fan with carved bone.  The fan is painted with blue birds and flowers...STUNNING and in wonderful condition.  Some aging patina on the fan spines but no breaks or flaws in the silk or bone spines.  The fan is mounted against a sapphire blue velvet background in a gorgeous simple gold shadow box...This is a treasure from my Auntie Lillies estate.  She collected treasures from the Victorian period and  I inherited this lovely item 20 years ago. It has been in storage until recently.  My Aunt lived in a chateau outside of Paris most of her life until she and her husband came to the United States in the 40s.  Feel free to ask any questions.  It is 21 1/2" by 15" by 3" deep.
