Vintage, kind of whimsical, print of "Le Jardin" (French for “the Garden”) by Jan and/or Jon Schaeffer. Print appears to be numbered 14 of 60 and “Le Jardin” and “J. Scheaffer” are handwritten in pencil in the lower margin.  Print measures approximately 8" x 10". Matte also measures approximately 8" x 10" with a 5” x 7” opening. Paperboard and additional paper backing also measure approximately 8" x 10". Paperboard backing includes the birthday greeting, "Happy Birthday!!! to Ann from Jan and Jon (J. Schaeffer) 10/13/81.” Print appears to be in very good used condition with signs of age and wear, such as fading, yellowing, some waviness, and foxing, especially on the back. Matte is faded and yellowed but otherwise appears to be in very good to excellent condition. Additional piece of backing paper appears to be in good condition with fading, yellowing, and extensive foxing. Paperboard backing appears to be in fair to good condition with fading, yellowing, foxing, scratches, scrapes, abrasions, indentations, and stains. Estate sale find.
