exact item shown, Autek Mk-1 programmable keyer.  it shows some wear and has some modifications by a prior owner (for example, the battery power socket in the back is actually wired in parallel with program A, according to the note, and it has a super-cap installed to hold up memory if there is a power outage.  It is partly working - what isn't working is that the transmitter key and the audio are always on.  I verified that if I ground the audio from the volume control the audio stops, so the audio drive is OK, I  think the problem (sort of clear on the schematic) is in the drive to the transmitter key - I started to trouble shoot that and decided I was out of time.

What is working (at least observationally, I didn't hook a scope to it) is the power supply, the memory (the memory light comes on when it's "playing" a pattern even though you cannot hear the pattern through the speaker.  It requires a two position paddle key, for testing I simulated that with a pair of NO pushbutton switches, but I stopped playing with it before I got far enough along to fix what ails it and see it work.  if you have some time to spend, I think this is a fairly straight-forward repair - one thing to be aware of is that the board layout in the documentation differs slightly from the board layout of the unit, the ICs are the same (as far as I checked them) but the discrete components are (some of them) in different places.

Note to me: bottom drawer of small (left most) cabinet

I normally ship within 24 hours of your order, but the post office does not always initiate tracking when I put the packages in the drop off box.
