The MGC is a Plug and Play Games Cartridge

for the Acorn Electron

The MGC doesn’t use an SD card! The idea behind the MGC is to keep it as simple as possible – simple enough for youngsters to use without having to worry about the technical aspects of an SD card-based system.

Features:

    • Supplied in an Acorn colour matched customised 3D printed case.
    • Holds up to 196* Games that are chosen by you (see below for details) from list of over 260 or you can choose to have a “standard” set of games

    • Delivered with all your Games loaded ready for playing
    • Also supports some Electron Utilities and Applications
            • E.g. View, Viewsheet, Starmon, ADT, ABE etc
    • Simple to operate
            • Plug the MGC into either Cartridge Slot and turn-on (with the shift key depressed)
            • Select your Game from the Menu – play the game!
    • Ultra-Fast loading of the Menu and Games

    • The Menu allows searching by: First letter of a Game, First letter of a Publishers name or by Genre
    • Programmable - if required!
    • The cartridge comes with a set of Utilities (on-board) that will allow full or partial reprogramming of the MGC
    • Supplied with a comprehensive User Guide
    • Full one year, return to base, warranty

* Some of the larger games take up more than one 16K block of memory reducing the number of Games to an average of 160.

Requirements:

            • Acorn Electron with either an Acorn/P.R.E.S. Plus 1 or Slogger ROMBox 2
                    • NOTE: Not compatible with the Acorn Master computer

How to order and select your Games

** Read this section carefully! **

    • Firstly, you need to buy and pay for the MGC!
    • UK Sales ONLY (you can buy through the Global Shipping Programme!)

    • I'll contact you when payment is received
    • You will then be sent an Excel spreadsheet* along with full instructions of how to select your Games
            • You will need a program that can 'read' Excel files!
            • Return the Excel file to the eMail address supplied
            • You will then be sent your programmed MGC
    • The MGC will be sent out First Class Post signed-for (UK)

Although every effort will be made to expedite the delivery, please allow a few days as each MGC is built to order . . .

* If you don't have Excel, or a compatible application, then I can supply a text file.

Warranty:
The MGC is covered by a 1-year return to base warranty. The MGC is also covered by the Consumer Contracts Regulations (CCR). This gives you 14 days, from receipt, in which you can return the MGC for any reason whatsoever. If you wish to return your MGC, within the 14-day period, then please contact me first. You will receive a full refund of the original purchase price. NOTE: The cost of returning the item is to be borne the purchaser. However, if the MGC is faulty, I will refund any reasonable postage costs.
