Rare NOS (New old stock) ski rack for Volvo 200 and 700 series cars, sedans or wagons.

Never used, still in its original Volvo box. Lockable, all locks work. It comes with 3 original keys. Easy installation, sturdy and lightweight.

Everything functions as it should.

All plastic covers click/un-click nicely as they should, they perfectly seal the locks from the elements. This ski rack is not broken or damaged anywhere. Fully functional, practical, rare, retro equipment made by Volvo for their famous brick rwd cars.

You can transport up to 8 pairs of skis in this rack! No roof-rack bars are needed at all, as this is a complete ski-rack kit that attaches to your car... it has its own slide-out bars that are part of the unit (see pictures). No tools needed and no extra hardware necessary to attach the four points to the car. (It is a great design, the special system gets securely tightened by hand then the outer lids close down on them plus it is all lockable at each point. )

The rubber is intact, feels new, it is nice and soft everywhere, it is not ripped or torn anywhere. Rubber "feet" are also all present. The springs all work, folding parts all move freely, the sides open up and close without any hiccups or hassle.

This equipment can as much as 40 years old, perhaps made in 1980 or in the very early years of the 80's. Have tiny little scratches from being in the box and little stains inside underneath perhaps from a factory lubricant that they used for the moving parts. To keep everything original, I did not try to remove or mask those spots. They are not visible as they are underneath the folding lids that say "Volvo" on them.

Volvo 240,242,260,265,740,745,760,765 cars (they have the rain gutter on the top).

I do not know at the moment whether or not the 940/960 Volvos had the rain gutter. (This fits 940 cars too, if your 940 has the rain gutter.) If you are not sure, check your car to see if it has the rain gutter.
