African eggplant

Latin name: Solanum anguivi 

It is a low-growing, often thorny bush native to tropical Africa. Its edible berries are collected from the wild all over Africa, but they are also grown in Uganda and the Ivory Coast and used as a vegetable, similar to eggplant. Frost-sensitive perennial.
