Brass Tobacco Caddy Stunning Ornate Lidded Box - French Style Tobacciana Gothic.

Wonderful ornate relief design over 4 panels covering the circumference of the caddy showing which looks to be people between swirling acanthus, holding masks. In-between this is a central area with a long-haired woman embracing an angel.

The caddy has a slightly gothic and renaissance feel to it. It has a great sturdy and weighty feel to it.

The tin liner and tobacco press plate are still in place inside the caddy box.

Condition:

Great fully functional condition with a few mild rub marks/knocks and characterful natural patina although it has had a light clean.
