Offering for your consideration a rare late 19th c Quimper platter in a Rouenesque pattern.

This charming, classic example is intricately hand painted in the "double cornucopia" pattern.

There is a profusion of flowering branches tumbling out of two cornucopias. Birds, butterflies and blossoms fill the platter with elegance and grace.

The edge is gently scalloped and finished with a fine red double scalloped link. The colors are delightfully gentile and compliment the pattern perfectly.

The platter is large and measures 17 1/2" long by 13" wide. It is signed only HB on the back and dates from the last quarter of the 19th century.

The piece is in superb, original condition with no damage. It is Museum quality.

Thank you for your visit to this sophisticated and truly classical HB platter.

Please see my other interesting Quimper platter in a rare pattern. It will be listed this week on eBay and can be previewed in the last photo above.
