The 1970 Porsche 917 won nine out of 10 races in the World Sportscar Championship. The 917 was a 4500cc, air-cooled, 550-horsepower flat-12 engine with striking aerodynamics. It set a top-speed record of 340 kph at Le Mans and a track record of 240 kph.
