This is a Victorian engraving of Carnarvon (or Caernarfon) Castle.

It is a book page rescued from The Comprehensive Gazetteer of England and Wales edited by JHF Brabner, published in 1894.

The books were no longer able to be saved after serious damage (please be assured I would never put a healthy book down!) but the engravings have been taken out, the binding marks have been trimmed but I have left the width so that they can be trimmed to fit your chosen mount or frame.

Its condition is good, there is some minor discolouration in the margins; there is a small dent on the top edge. There is some foxing on the back. Its edges may have some creasing or ruffling, including a crease at the top edge where it folded into the book.

16.5cm x 25.5cm approx.
