The first one pictured has been sold.  We have 3 left.

We have tested these and they do fit the Elgin.

Used brass winding crank that fits Sigfried Haller E49 Granville clocks.

This crank fits Haller's E49 Granville model, plate # 1522B in Horolovar's 400-Day Clock Repair Guide. These clocks are identified by the following characteristics: On the back 'plate', there is an arrow pointing counter clockwise over the winding arbor, and in the lower right hand corner, the words 'S. Haller made in Germany one (1) jewel unadjusted'. Also, the movement sits atop 4 columns, rather than the usual 2, and the face is open (skeleton), with the gears visible. Additionally, there is a small plate under the Roman numeral XII with the importer's name, most often, but not always, Elgin. These clocks have a very large winding shaft, much bigger than other 400 day clocks, and originally came with a winding crank rather than a key.  See the pictures for an example of this clock, and how the crank fits. (Clock is not for sale.)

Please note: The winding arbor on your clock should be smooth and squared off. If the winding arbor on your clock is round and has threads, then someone has unscrewed and lost the external, smooth and squared off arbor that should be there. This crank WILL NOT fit over those bare threads.

We know anniversary clocks. Are you looking for a key for one of your other anniversary clocks? We can help!

Sigfried Haller began producing key wind anniversary clocks in 1930. He introduced a line of miniature movement clocks in 1968, and midget movement clocks in 1970. Production of 400 day clocks continued until the late 80's, making his company one of the two last to stop. Production of 200 day anniversary clocks continued until 2007. During those years, he sold clocks not only under his own name, but also under such importers as Black Forest, Hamilton, and Heco, among others. To complicate matters, other anniversary clock manufacturers also sold clocks through some of these same importers. And although some Haller standard clocks have some uniquely identifiable characteristics, such as ornate black hands, a uniquely shaped arch, and understated finials, others may not.

Here's how we can help you find the right key for your clock: Contact us, and attach a close up picture of the brass plate on the back of your clock (this plate is like a fingerprint). It should be a fairly sharp picture, but doesn't have to be perfect. If any writing on the plate cannot be read from the photograph, just type it in the text of the message. No digital camera? No problem. Along with any writing on the back plate, include a top to bottom measurement of your clock. We will reply with the clock manufacturer's name, movement size, approximate date of manufacture, and the title of our auction for the right key if we stock a key that fits. We stock keys for almost all anniversary clocks made after WWII, as well as some anniversary clocks made before. Any questions, just ask!
