Considered by many film lovers and historians, to be one of the best films ever made, here is a vintage 1947 vintage lobby card (#8) from THE BEST YEARS OF OUR LIVES. It was personally signed in 2003 by actress Virginia Mayo, at a small convention in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The late 1946 release American drama was directed by William Wyler, and stars Myrna Loy, Fredric March, Dana Andrews, Teresa Wright, Virginia Mayo, and Harold Russell. The film is about three servicemen re-adjusting to social changes and civilian life after coming home from World War II. It won seven Academy Awards: Best Picture, Best Director (William Wyler), Best Actor (Fredric March), Best Supporting Actor (Harold Russell), Best Film Editing (Daniel Mandell), Best Adapted Screenplay (Robert E. Sherwood), and Best Original Score (Hugo Friedhofer).

Russell was also awarded an honorary Academy Award, the only time in history that two such awards were given for a single performance. In 1989, The Best Years of Our Lives was one of the first 25 films selected by the Library of Congress for preservation in the United States National Film Registry for being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".

The lobby card is the standard 11x14 size and is in remarkably nice shape for being 75+ years old. The light borders are a touch more tanned than they show up in my photos. The tips of the lobby card's side edges are darkish brown.  They're more noticeable when looking at the backside. You can see the top left corner edge of the card is gone. Otherwise, the condition is REALLY GOOD, as you see it here. (Look at all 9 photos carefully) A nice and rare piece of classic film history.  Buyer pays $10 to ship by Priority Mail.  Thank you.
