This Chromatic Clip-on NS Micro Headstock Tuner by Planet Waves is a Ned Steinberger designed tuner to be smaller and less conspicuous than others. The display is a mere 1/4 inch x 5/8 inch. It is a clip-on type that picks up vibrations through a highly sensitive piezo transducer. These are always less susceptible to interference from noisy environments than other tuners. They are extremely accurate and will work with virtually any instrument that is fretted, guitar, bass, mandolin, ukulele, banjo, and many band or orchestra instrument. The multi-color backlit LCD screen makes tuning easy in dim or well-lit environments. Extremely compact design makes this virtually invisible. The ratcheting, locking clip visible from the front of the instrument's headstock measures only 5/16 inch by 7/8 inch, and is more likely to stay in place than ones with spring clips. Display rotates and measures 1/4 inch by 5/8 inch. Can be user calibrated from A410 to A480. Also includs a built-in metronome that adjusts from 20 to 270bpm. Uses one CR2032 battery (included). Also has an automatic shutoff feature that conserves battery life by shutting down after 10 minutes. This is a very handy and useful tuner is small enough and cheap enough to outfit all your instruments and can be left on your instrument when stored. I really like the bright display and how quick it reacts to the tone. MSRP $37.20.
