1990s Cartier 'Must de' Ronde Vendôme with Spider Web Dial in 925 Silver Gilt Vermeil Case with Cartier Buckle

We have here a Cartier Ronde with a rare and interesting cream dial and gilt Roman numerals.  The way the numerals are arranged is like a spider's web, hence the nickname for these coveted dials.  The larger Roman numerals sit around a gold-coloured disc as if they had been delicately laid on top of the dial in a single piece and this creates a sense of symmetry.  The dial is otherwise elegantly simple.  Steel blue hour and minute hands in the centre, 'Must de Cartier' at 12 o'clock and the famous Cartier logo at 6 o'clock - why would you need anything else!  We particularly love the trademark cabochon winding crown and the articulated, Vendôme lugs which add an extra touch of elegance and sophistication at a great price.

The vermeil case, also known as silver gilt, or gold-plated sterling silver, measures 30mm and is a very comfortable wear on the wrist.  Inside the case is the Swiss quartz caliber, fully serviced by us and running strongly.  We've paired this watch on a brown strap and kept its original gold-tone Cartier buckle.  The watch comes with our plain presentation box.

Please note, additional costs such as customs fees and import taxes may apply for items shipped abroad.

This watch comes fully serviced by our on-site workshop and with a 12 month, non-waterproof service cover.

What we think

We love Cartier here at AWC.  It is a brand that offers timeless elegance across all of its watches, yet never fails to produce a variety of adaptations in its classic designs.  A designer first and watchmakers second, this piece is a perfect representation of the world-famous house.
