THIS IS A SUPERB AND RARE COLD PAINTED METAL FIGURE OF A HORSE WITH A HORSESHOE - AN EQUESTRIAN OR RIDING OR FOX HUNTING OR HORSE RACING NOVELTY FIGURE, BY HEYDE OF GERMANY  DATING TO C1900 - FIGURES LIKE THESE ARE EXTREMELY RARE!

This is just a wonderful figure made by the German company Heyde around the turn of the last century.  The figure is made of pot metal and cold painted. The horse has wonderful details.  The figure comes from one of the finest American collections of toy motif items.  Please see our other auctions for more figures from this collection.

The figure including the horseshoe is 4 inches (10 cm) long and it is 3 inches tall.  Without the stand the groomsman is 8cm tall.

We also have a figure of a groomsman holding the fox!
