From the Virginian-Pilot newspaper, 3 Sept 2007:

...Nolan Fine is 51, a trim guy with close-cropped, graying hair who looks exactly like a retired pro basketball referee should. He spent 16 years with the National Basketball Association - he called fouls on Shaq and Michael Jordan - and has a massive NCAA championship ring from his years officiating college.

Fine's sports memorabilia collection: three items.

Fine's Jerry Lewis memorabilia collection: 400 items.

"You don't think I'm wacko," he said, a smile hovering, hazel eyes dancing, "do you?"

There are movie posters and scripts, a signed 1954 contract with Martin and Lewis ($205,000 for Dean, $295,000 for Jerry) and Lewis' cowboy boots, in not-so-Wild West hues of pink and turquoise, from the 1956 flick "The Pardners."

And Dean and Jerry figurines, a Dean and Jerry pocket watch ("It's stuck at 5 'til 3," Fine said. "I'm not sure if that's a.m. or p.m."), Dean and Jerry playing card sets ("Never been opened," Fine said, running a finger along the cellophane), Dean and Jerry cufflinks and puppets and coloring books and salt and pepper shakers.

DEAN MARTIN AND JERRY LEWIS

Martin and Lewis were an American comedy duo, comprising singer Dean Martin and comedian Jerry Lewis. They met in 1945 and debuted at Atlantic City's 500 Club on July 25, 1946; the team lasted ten years to the day. Before they teamed up, Martin was a nightclub singer, while Lewis performed a comedy act lip-synching to records.  They performed in nightclubs, and, starting in 1949, on radio. Later they branched out into television and films. In their early radio days they performed as Martin and Lewis but later became hugely popular as Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis. These full names helped them launch successful solo careers after parting.

The Caddy is a 1953 American semi-musical-comedy-sports film starring the comedy team of Martin and Lewis. It is noteworthy for Dean Martin introducing the hit song "That's Amore.” The career of costar Donna Reed began a huge upswing following the release of The Caddy. Five days prior to the film's release, Columbia Pictures released From Here to Eternity, starring Reed. Reed went on to win an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for From Here to Eternity. Both films were shown in theaters during the same time period and both were hugely successful.
