The Reverend J.E. Jackson's 'A List of Wiltshire Sheriffs....', published in Devizes, 1856. Uncommon. This copy inscribed on upper fe from the Author to Rev. Edward Wilton, copiously annotated throughout and interleaved with blanks. 

4to, bound in period vellum over bevel edged boards, spine and upper board gilt lettered, lower with gilt and black arms, upper page edges gilt, fore and lower page edges untrimmed. Period marbled endpapers with two previous owners bookplates to upper endpapers, upper fe heavily annotated, with a further bookplate and 'Corrigenda' tipped down. Approx 19cm x 24cm, 47pp, interleaved with annotated blank throughout.


The binding is holding firmly and in good condition, the vellum dustmarked and with minor staining, spine darkend, bumped to extremities/corners. Contents in good condition if toned, more notable to page edges with some occasional minor spots or marks. Inscribed on upper fe from the Author to Rev. Edward Wilton, copiously annotated throughout and interleaved with blanks.

Items up to 5kg and a maximum size of 90cms (hxwxd) and no longer than 60cms can be sent via Royal Mail using the Printed Paper service. Items larger and heavier than this have to be sent via courier service.
  • We offer a multi-ship service and can hold items until larger consignments can be sent. This helps reduce postage costs greatly, especially for overseas buyers. If buying more than one item, please allow us to invoice you before paying as we will combine the items to give you the cheapest Royal Mail or international service price.
