Travelers Insurance Currier & Ives Calendars from 1960s to 2000s Currier and Ives was a New York City printmaking business that operated between 1835 and 1907. Founded by Nathaniel Currier, the company designed and sold inexpensive, hand painted lithographic works based on news events, views of popular culture and Americana. Advertising itself as "the Grand Central Depot for Cheap and Popular Prints,"[1] the corporate name was changed in 1857 to "Currier and Ives" with the addition of James Merritt Ives. In 1936, The Travelers Insurance Company of Hartford, Connecticut started printing calendars with the famous Currier and Ives lithographs one for each month. We are offering the choice of ONE COMPLETE 12 month ORIGINAL Travelers Insurance Currier & Ives Calendar. As of right now I have available some years from the 1950s to 2009. Each Currier & Ives Calendar has 12 LARGE VERSION lithograph prints, total size is 22” x 16”. Actual lithograph print can be cut down to 10” X 16” and framed if desired.
