Fast-Growing Austree Hybrid Willow Tree is the Perfect Windbreak     

Are you planning on having a natural fence for your backyard? Austree Hybrid Willow trees are the solution you've been looking for! These Hybrid Willow trees are quickly growing as the ideal windbreak and privacy hedgerow tree. They also work as the perfect shade and can be fed to sheep and goats as additional forage, since they are non-toxic to livestock.    

Our Austree Willow Tree Hybrids grow extremely fast and are disease resistant. They can easily grow 10 to 15 feet each of the first few years with little to no care and are perfect for almost all soil conditions. These trees also love being moist and will flourish quicker if they are regularly supplied with water such as a nearby stream. Austree Willow Tree Hybrids can even grow more than 15 feet in a year under the proper conditions that include fertile soil, sufficient water supply, and enough sunlight.

There are a couple of options to grow these trees: free-standing shade trees or bushy hedges, depending on the way they are trimmed. Naturally, our Austree Willow Tree Hybrids will grow multiple branches and assume a bushy hedge shape, since the cuttings are usually cut on both ends. However, if you prefer a straight tree trunk, you will need to remove all but one of the branches, and this will become the main trunk. If you choose to have a hedgerow, we recommend planting them 3 to 6 feet apart, making sure that whatever distance you decide on remains constant throughout your natural fence. For a single trunk or normal shade trees, have them planted at least 10 feet apart, using a consistent distance for symmetry’s sake.    

The cuttings that you will receive have been stripped of their leaves for shipping. This does not have any negative effects on them. As soon as you have the package, immediately plant them in the ground by simply pushing the cuttings into loose soil or by using a 2 inch bulb auger and backfill the hole tightly.
