A little history for the new guy / gal ;

1). - Mopar Mania (X-Traction) and the

2). - Dukes of Hazzards 1st release on XTraction chassis (remakes of the original 3-gear Pancake Traction chassis , from Aurora , back in the late 70s and early 80s ) and the

3). - Bowtie Brigade - which are Thunderjets chassis, remakes of the original Aurora T-jets from the 1960s.

These were followed by 2006s Release 1 . Release 1 is unique in several ways.

1). - All 6 bodies were remakes of original Aurora 3-gear traction bodies. None of the newer made body styles like 69 charger or 71 Hemi Cuda, etc. ALL remakes of 1970s and 1980s original AFX bodies. So thats very cooL.

2).- Released in both formats , in the jewel case clam shell and on the display card. 2 different color schemes , one packaged in the clam shell , the other in the display card. The display cards themselves in Release 1 had more detail than subsequent releases.

3). - Raised plastic sections around labels, and an actual playing-/-baseball-/-card-sized card with a picture of the actual car. Also,

4). - Release one was the first release where the white versions were actually referred to as iWheels. Also,

5). - Release one was ALSO issued in the rare First Lap version , cars all in translucent red plastic.
