This is a Jean Pouyat Limoges vase signed by the painter, Schoenhut. This mark was being used from 1890s - around 1932. The painter was active around 1914 and he is known to have signed and dated at least one other of his pieces. Therefore, the 15 under the Schoenhut name could signify a date of 1915. The vase is painted with blue birds with red throat and pale yellow breasts. Sitting on sprigs of pink Wild rose flowers. The bottom third of the body of the vase is a dark green muting into lighter green. The top and bottom rims are decorated with gold leaf. The vase is in excellent antique condition. There is minor loss to the gold leaf around the top and bottom rims corresponding with, and to be expected from, age and use. I see no chips, cracks or crazing of the glaze. There are no other conditional issues noted from visual inspection.
