Description of the object

Celtaflex Tlr camera by Photelec

Serial number: No. 243.

Boyer Sapphire f/4.5 - 75mm lens

Serial number: No. 409508

In 1944, a Parisian photographer, Mr. Bernard, created the company Photélec to industrialize its production of prototypes related to photography, including a 6 X 6 reflex. The distribution of this “Cameraflex” SLR is ensured by Marcel Halbout establishments. Then, Photélec sold the rights to its distributor who renamed it Celtaflex. The Celtaflex is then assembled by Mécaoptic-Photo which ensured the construction until the end. This camera, which externally resembles all SLRs, is the only SLR in the world whose film loading is carried out in a particularly delicate way, namely laterally.

There would have been about 500 copies made.

Good general cosmetic condition.

Presence of some traces of wear.

The shutter releases correctly at all speeds, but the B and T exposures seem not to work.

The lens has traces inside and needs to be cleaned.
