Up for sale is a nice, large map of Virginia published in 1842 in Morse's North American Atlas. Early map of the state. Nice detail. Atlas was published by Harper and Brothers in New York with a copyright of 1842. Morse's Atlas is one of the early large scale atlases that focused on the United States. Great piece of history.
Map is approximately 15 x 18 inches. Overall in fair condition with some light brown staining on boarder areas. Map is colored as originally published. A nice piece that will look great framed.
