Original WW1 Australian battalion history titled "The Story of the Twelfth: A record of the 12th Battalion A.I.F. during the Great War of 1914-1918". This is a 1st Edition written by L.M. Newton (late Lieut. and Adjutant 12 Bn. A.I.F.) and published by J. Walch & Sons Pty Ltd., Hobart 1925 on behalf of the 12 Battalion Association. Hardbound, 508 pages, photographs, fold out maps. Scarce original 1st Edition unit history, some silver fish damage to two of the maps, covers/spine have been repaired so the binding is nice and tight. The cream hardboard covers are also fairly clean compared to most other versions of this book that I've seen.

This book was previously owned and it's signed by original member of 12th Battalion Pte. 6073 Edward Bernard Goode. Pte. Edward Goode enlisted on 16/6/16 aged 35 years and he was wounded in action on 5/4/18 suffering fractured ribs and was admitted to hospital. He served until the end of WW1 and eventually returned to Australia on 19/6/19.

Note: I am selling all my WW1 and WW2 military collection including Commonwealth airforce wings and insignia, army badges and insignia, original WW1 Australian battalion histories, WW1 Trench whistles and much, much more. All items are original so no copies or fakes so save me as one of your favourite sellers as all items will be listed for sale over the coming months.
