Have had carefully stored away for nearly the last 35-40 years a great assortment of excellent to near mint issues of Baseball Card Magazines from the 1980's. Total of 18 issues (with outstanding condition reproduction insert cards of Mickey Mantle, Ted Williams, and many other notable super stars). Even one of Mantle (pre-1952) from his minor league. Totally surprised to see what these insert cards are going for when graded by PSA and selling on eBay! All 18 issues offered are ones that BBC Magazine included w/inserts. Many back issues during this time period did not offer inserts with reprint cards. So I combined all 18 issues from these years in this lot. Should there be any interest in obtaining any other issues from this time period, I have the following additional 17 issues.
1984 (Jun, Apr), 1985 (Jun, Aug), 1986 (Jun, Aug), 1987 (Feb, Jun, Jul, Aug, Nov), 1988 (Jan, Mar, May, Jul, Sept, Nov). All, as well, are in ex/nrmt condition and will be available in another listing.
Anyone proficient at properly cutting cards to the required dimensions can take the Mantle (6) and Williams (3) reprints and several other stars, properly and carefully cut to the required size, submit to PSA (Yes, PSA does grade these BBC reprint inserts), and hopefully get returned high grade PSA's for their skillful attempts. As mentioned, check out how much these cards are going for with good PSA grades. A chance to really make some very good profits if successfully done. My asking bid of $400 for the entire lot of all 18 magazines is very reasonable compared to what these reprints in graded condition are selling. Please review the pictures I have provided to form your own opinion as to both the quality and condition of these magazines and cards.
As mentioned, the magazines are ex/nrmnt, the card reprints themselves are ex/nrmnt and after looking at the inserts themselves, aside from a few with scuffs or wrinkles (but not on the reprint card surfaces themselves) all should provide excellent cut reprint cards for grading. I do not possess the cutting equipment to undertake this task, but for the one who does, the rewards might be quite bountiful? And I will note that the only reprint cards that do show wrinkling on the card surface area itself appears to be those of Chuck Connors (the Rifleman).
