Shows a beautiful abstract expressionist floral composition in sea green, sky blue, and lemon yellow, beautifully contrasted with rich black ink. A pale pink lotus flower can be seen at the top center of the image.

Appears to be in overall very good vintage condition; paper has been rolled but should easily flatten once inside a frame, some light creases, small light stain lower center, thin and uneven cut tape along edges. This painting is not matted or framed and will be shipped rolled in a tube.

About Kong Changan:
Kong Chang’an (b.1953) is an artist and curator who actively promoted Chinese avant-garde artists in Europe and the US through publications and exhibitions during the 1980s through early 1990s. With a visual arts scholarship to University of Bologna, Italy, he used the pen name ‘Chan, Lauk'ung’ to publish ‘Ten Years of the Chinese Avant-garde: Waiting for the Curtain to Fall’ in Flash Art—one of the earliest English articles on Chinese avant-garde art in a major European art magazine. He continued to generate awareness of avant-garde artists from China as one of the curators of ‘Aperto’ at the 1993 Venice Biennial.

We accept returns for a refund within 14 days of the item(s) delivery only if an item is grossly misrepresented. Items must be returned in their original condition. We will not reimburse the return shipping. Any refund will be for the original price paid, minus insurance and shipping. If we feel that the policy is being abused we reserve the right to refuse any exchange, credit or refund. Refunds will be processed electronically.
