Shungite is a mineraloid consisting mainly of carbon and contains also fullerenes. It is thought to be the only stone in the world to contain these fullerenes, making Shungite unique. Shungite is thought to be over 2 billion years old, and is shrouded in mystery over its origins. This mineral stone is only found near the village of Sun'ga in Karelia Russia.
