Published according to Act of Parliament, 25 March 1772 by T Jefferys,
Corner of St Martins Lane Charing Cross London.

First map of the county on such a large scale, beautifully engraved giving
minute details, and printed on 20 plates. Plate size: 23 ins x 24 ins approx.
Overall size of 20 plates together: 115 ins x 92 ins approx.
Maps had mainly and previously been compiled from Saxton`s survey. This 
was an entirely new survey from which most succeeding maps of the county
down to the Ordnance survey in 1815 - 1817 were compiled.

Jefferys map of Yorkshire was the second county map to use Greenwich

The three year survey was at the scale of One Inch to the Mile.
