Red moor root pieces

random pieces in various shapes, lengths and sizes

Why not also add java fern and moss for a complete setup?

We cannot guarantee exactly the shape or size of the pieces you will receive, as these are picked from a random selection, however we will guarantee genuine red moor root.  Pieces will vary in size, shape and length.  These are pieces that can be piled together in the aquarium to create a cave or hiding place for your fish to explore.

Our wood is pre-soaked by our suppliers, and is safe for adding straight to the aquarium.

On occasions the wood may float, soaking the wood absorbs water and aids the wood to remain at the bottom of the tank. Adding lead weights to the wood will expedite this process

We know that many people want to create a natural aquascape in their aquarium.  We continue to add new and exciting products to help achieve this.

Wood root is perfect for creating such an environment and its branched spindly 'fingers' lend the pieces to being used creatively with plants of mixed height and density.  The thin branches can easily be trimmed to size if required, or leave them to protrude from the top of the tank to create a more inventive design.  It's 'fingers' can also be 'tangled' with some of the larger pieces of wood for a stunning effect, which fish like to swim between.  This wood is suitable for use in aquariums and vivariums.

All our wood is pre-soaked and can be added straight to the aquarium.

The wood may float initially when added to the tank, but once it has time to absorb water it will sink and remain in place.

On occasion a white fuzz or black spots may be present on the wood at time of arrival, or shortly after adding to the tank.  Please be assured this is perfectly normal with a natural wood product - it is a biofilm that naturally occurs.  It is completely harmless to your aquarium or fish, and is caused by the wood releasing excess nutrients and is part of the decomposition process of the wood.  It is just nature behaving as it should.  Some fish may like to eat this biofilm and it will cause no harm should they do this.  Given time the biofilm will disappear or you may wish to remove the wood from the aquarium and gently remove the film with a brush.

Comes to you securely packed to ensure the piece/s arrives safely.
