Family were early settlers in Pennsylvania arriving with William Penn. Stephen and Anna (Stroud) Pancoast were the parents of Dr. Seth Pancoast born in 1823 in Darby Delaware - a famous physician, author and cabalist.
Included with the bible and extensive penned notes between the old and new testaments is a folder with hand written notes, newspaper clippings, etc... all related to the family.
Bible itself has both covers detached but certainly worthy of restoration. Leather is dry and has not been cleaned nor conditioned in probably 100 years or more. While the bible is good the contemporary genealogical information is of historical significance.
Anyway, more family ephemera will eventually be listed for some but for now - what you see is what you get.
