A "New" UpLocking Reel Seat with a Stabilized Russian Olive Insert for 4 to 6 Weight Fly Rods!  If you're not sure what "Stabilized" means, it is the wood being infused with a polymer resin to make it stronger, and of course waterproof.  And if you've never heard of a Russian Olive tree, there are lots of them growing along the banks of the Rio Grande here in New Mexico, and elsewhere too!.  They actuall do produce an Olive, but it is small and bitter sweet to humans, but the waterfowl thrive on the olives.  And, if you've ever heard of Tumble Weed, the correct name for those are Russian Thistle.  This UpLocking hardware is highly polished Aluminum, and is a bright silver color.  The Russian Olive insert is the burl part of the tree which is just beneath the surface where it is growing and between the entire root system.  You just have to decide if you like the patterns in the wood as there is no way to predict how it will look before turning the insert.  Even though the wood is stabilized to make it stronger and waterproof, I have finished the surface with CA or Cyano Acrylate, better known as "Krazy Glue" for even more strength and water proofing.  The inside bore diameter is .415, which is just shy of 7/16 inch, and the overall length is just under 4.00 inches.  Insert will be protectively packaged and shipped USPS Grounf Advantage Package!
